Moment of Change
Through out my life there has been many times where I have changed as a person, but I feel through the course of being a child to an adult we all experience change. Although as humans we experience change there is always a moment that stands out more then all the others, that moment that changes our whole outlook on life and potentially determines who we are as a person. Some may call their new outlook on life a transformation, some might just consider it just apart of life (change), I most definitely consider it a transformation.
Before I experienced my “transformation” I was sort of in a ruckus, I was battling with family issues and I was also battling with self esteem issues. I was a junior in high school when I realized I needed to step away and make a change. My grandmother always went to church and continually asked me to come along and join the church choir. After many times of passing the offer I finally agreed to attend and to also join the church choir and thats when my transformation began. Church began to calm my sprit, I consider it as a form of therapy, a place where I can get answers to questions that no one else could answer. Singing in the choir changed the way I looked at music from the stand point of sound and the message that I believe that should portrayed. My whole life is changed due to one decision. Going to church every Sunday made me dedicated, that’s a trait I never really carried, I thought it was ok to quit and give up when ever a situation became over baring. At church I was taught the greatest thing out of all things and that is the ability to love, I realized that everything else follows after. Ultimately, me going to church and making the decision to leave what was comfortable and enter then unknown saved my life and also changed my whole outlook on life.
